Daily Affirmations
One of the 20 habits of successful people is to read your vision statement (your “Why”) and then your affirmations every day. This one habit alone can bring dramatic positive results and help you become a better person today than you were yesterday. Find your passions in life and develop your “Why” around them. Stay focused on them to make them become reality and to provide all you need in this lifetime.
My friend, Miljenko (Mike) Grgich, founder of Grgich Hills Estate winery in Napa, CA, told me, “Every day do your best, learn something new, and make a friend.” That simple philosophy drove him to reach his dream of becoming one of the premier wine makers in the world. The habit of reading your “Why” and your affirmations daily will also help you to do your best at whatever you do every day.
The point of doing affirmations is to teach our subconscious mind how we intend to be. Since our conscious mind cannot communicate directly with our Universal Source (God) we use prayer, meditation and/or wishes to communicate with our subconscious who does have the ability to communicate directly with Source. In fact, Source is always pouring out abundance upon us in all forms. If we feel a lack in any area of our life it is simply because our mind is closed and we are not able to see the abundance of opportunity directly in front of us.
I am intentional about how I want to be in this lifetime, so I have a set of affirmations I read aloud every day. These are prefaced with an intentional prayer that goes something like this, “Help my eyes, mind and heart be open to the abundance of the universe that is always pouring out upon me – And give me the courage to act positively on every opportunity that I see in my path.”
My “Why” is: “I intend to live a life of abundance and enjoy every moment! To spend time with family and friends traveling the world with no limits. And, to help others learn and implement the habits that enable them to reach their dreams.”
