If you have a non-Apple device (Android)  you can access FaceTime using a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge* app and follow a specific link I will create and text or email to you a few minutes before your scheduled meeting time.

* No other browsers will work – ONLY Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Joining FaceTime Calls on Android

Android users can participate in FaceTime calls by following these steps:

  1. Receive a Link: An Apple device user must create a FaceTime link and send it to the Android user.
  2. Open the Link: The Android user clicks on the link, which opens in a web browser. (check your email or SMS for the link)
  3. Enter Name: They will need to enter their name and select “Continue.”
  4. Join the Call: After allowing access to the microphone and camera, they can select “Join” and wait for the host to admit them.

Limitations

While joining a FaceTime call on Android is possible, there are some limitations:

  • Cannot Start Calls: Android users cannot initiate FaceTime calls.
  • No App: There is no dedicated FaceTime app for Android, and features like SharePlay and screen sharing are not available in the web version.
  • Browser Requirements: Users must use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge; other browsers like Firefox are not supported.
