I have been studying this for a few weeks to become more aware, and have waited until now to publish it. I have had three friends send me links to articles claiming that tomorrow (February 14, 2009) is the actual date of the “Dawning of the Age of Aquarius”. Interestingly, we all 4 are Taurus’. I am publishing my thoughts for them specifically, and for general public consideration also.

I believe the “Dawning” of the “Age of Aquarius” actually began back in the early 1960s as marked by the conjunction of planet Uranus (ruler of sign Aquarius) & the coming of age with Pluto (ruler of masses) bringing radical changes to our society in the 1960’s.

Since that time many events have occurred that warrant our attention. The ones tomorrow and on the 17th were written about in the Earth Wind & Fire song, “Dawning of the Age of Aquarius”. I believe there will be more events to come that are actually more significant than these. However, I do feel these are significant for us to at least think about today.

I have used my own Astrology calculation program to determine the exact time/date information for us from my house in Napa, CA for these three major events. All of the times I list below are Pacific Standard Time.

1. 2/14/2009 @ 16:29:18 (4:29 PM) – The 7th house moves into Libra at that moment – the moon has been in Libra since 2/12/09 @ 8:33 AM. This isn’t the first time for this (in fact it happens once every 29.5 days), but it is a precursor to the next two events and has an emotional bearing on them and how we view our relationships and has some extra significance on the 17th. This event begins an emotional movement for strengthening relationships with partners/spouses that may be much stronger because of the next two events.
2. 2/17/2009 @ 13:35:18 (1:35 PM) – The actual moment Aquarius moves into the 1st house the day of the perfect alignment of Jupiter & Mars. For the first time in many years, there are 5 major planets in the House of Aquarius at that moment (Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune & Mercury), plus the North Node of the Moon, and Chiron (the largest asteroid body we know of today, also believed by the majority of Astrologers to be the true ruler of Libra). This places a heavy influence on that moment in time. (Years from now, we may want to look for a significant leader born on that day and time to become significant in history). – At this moment the energy we send to the world for positive change in all the events we are facing today with the economy and the equal rights of all humans may have more impact than at other times.
3. 2/17/2009 @ 16:18:18 (4:18 PM) The perfect alignment of Jupiter & Mars from the Earth. If we could see them, Mars would eclipse Jupiter, and from Jupiter Mars would eclipse Earth. This has happened other times in our history. In fact, on December 17, 2007 they aligned in Aquarius similar to this event, and many raised their voices as that date being the “dawn” and 1st year of the “Age…”. It is a powerful moment for positive influence (that’s what this Age is all about), but not more significant than all the other times it happened in the past. In my opinion it is far less significant than the 2nd event I mentioned above.

I continue to believe that every day we spend time meditating is just as beneficial as any other day. And so, I will continue my effort to meditate each day – the same tomorrow as any other day. I’m grateful that events like these bring others, who may not have been meditating, to add to our energy for positive change.
